Tomorrow: Senate Judiciary Committee to Consider Four Bills

HARRISBURG – The Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Sen. Lisa Baker (R-20), is holding a voting meeting tomorrow, April 25, at 9:30 a.m., in Room 461 of the Capitol Complex, Harrisburg.

The following bills will be considered:

  • SB 645, P.N. 618 (Hughes)—Amends Title 53 (Municipalities) to allow certain vacant/abandoned lands that are being used as community gardens to be adversely possessed after 10 years.
  • SB 165, P.N. 156 (Tartaglione)—Amends the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act to prohibit the operation of safe injection sites and provide for related penalties.
  • SB 361, P.N. 287 (J. Ward)— Amends Title 42 (Judiciary) to add one Court of Common Pleas judge to judicial districts 15, 20 and 26.
  • SB 598, P.N. 593 (Baker)— Amends Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) to extend the Pennsylvania Wiretap Act five years from the current expiration date of December 31, 2023.
