Harrisburg, January 19, 2021 – State Senator John Yudichak (I-Luzerne/Carbon) has announced his committee assignments for the 2021-2022 legislative session.
Senator Yudichak will serve on the Aging and Youth Committee, Law and Justice Committee, Rules and Executive Nominations Committee, and the Urban Affairs Committee.
Last week, Senator Yudichak was appointed to serve as Chairman of the Pennsylvania Senate Community, Economic and Recreational Development Committee for the 2021-2022 legislative session.
“I am honored to be selected as chair of the Senate Community, Economic and Recreational Development Committee that has oversight over several state authorities that are dedicated to community and economic development throughout Pennsylvania,” said Senator John Yudichak.
“I look forward to working with the Wolf Administration and DCED Secretary Dennis Davin to take on the enormous responsibility of rebuilding the Pennsylvania economy as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. I have dedicated my entire public career to creating jobs and helping communities prosper, and the Chairmanship will allow me to bring my experience of building successful public-private partnerships that have created thousands of jobs in northeastern Pennsylvania to the Senate Community, Economic and Recreational Development Committee.”
The Senate Community, Economic and Recreational Development Committee works closely with the Department of Community and Economic Development and oversees the following authorities: the Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority, the Commonwealth Financing Authority, the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority, and the Pennsylvania Minority Business Development Authority.
