PSA Campaign to focus on missed mammograms during COVID-19 pandemic, FREE Mammogram event 

WHAT: The PA Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC), together with Pennsylvania Senate Majority Leader Kim Ward (R-39), launches a statewide campaign, focused on encouraging women to schedule their mammograms – screenings that could save their lives. The campaign, in conjunction with WellSpan Health in Central PA, will kick off at a news conference Monday, October 18 at 11:00 a.m. near the State Capitol East Wing Fountain announcing the following:

  • Joint PSA campaign sharing the importance of annual mammograms
    • Video PSA to debut during news conference
  • FREE Mobile Mammography Event
    • Tuesday, October 26
    • WellSpan Health OB/GYN of York
    • All screening mammograms will be available at no cost for this event only. 

WHEN: Monday, October 18, 2021

                 10:00a.m. to 10:45a.m.- Mobile Mammography media tours
                 11:00a.m.- Speaking program begins
