HARRISBURG – Sen. Doug Mastriano (R-33) will hold an event to honor the life of William Penn on Monday, Oct. 23, at noon in front of the William Penn statue at the State Museum of Pennsylvania, 300 North St., Harrisburg.
Mastriano and other participants will celebrate Penn’s landing in Pennsylvania, commemorate the treaty he signed with Lenape tribe and recognize his historic contributions to the cause of religious liberty.
Participants will include:
- Sen. Doug Mastriano (R-33);
- Rebbie Mastriano, wife of Sen. Mastriano;
- Members of the House and Senate;
- Jon Faus, direct descendant of the Lenape tribe;
- Mary Faus, spokesperson for All Tribes D.C.;
- Abbey Abildness, executive director of Healing Tree International.
