HB 301 (HARKINS) Amends the Public School Code to update outdated terminology related to physical or mental disabilities to conform with modern usage; temporarily extends or makes permanent certain substitute teacher and classroom monitor permit provisions from Act 91 of 2021; consolidates provisions of school safety and transfers from the Department of Education (PDE) to the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD); and effectuates the 2023-2024 education budget and makes numerous policy changes to the School Code. PASSED 45-5.
