(HARRISBURG) – The Senate Education and State Government Committees will re-vote bills that were considered during meetings Thursday. Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman (R-34) issued the following statement:
“The chairs of the Senate Education and State Government committees took the required steps to ensure public notification of the meetings. We have since learned that an administrative error by the Secretary’s Office may have resulted in an incomplete notification process when hard copies of the notifications were not delivered to the Capitol newsroom.
“In the interest of transparency, the Senate will reconvene both the Senate Education and State Government meetings. Bills voted on in those committees Thursday will be reconsidered at a future meeting.”
The Education Committee will meet at 1 p.m. Friday on the Senate floor to consider HB 2787. The meeting will be streamed. The State Government Committee will consider HB 2626 during its meeting scheduled for Tuesday off the floor.
