Senate Bill 1208 (M. White) would authorize the Department of General Services to convey approximately 65.35 acres consisting of the Polk Center sewage treatment facilities, conveyance system and easements to Frenchcreek Township, Venango County for fair market value in accordance with the Lease with Option to Purchase Agreement of June 28, 2002.  Passed:  49-0.

Senate Bill 1222 (Lemmond) would establish that the standards adopted by the Voting Standards Development Board under the Election Code and published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin on August 2, 2003 would, for the general election in 2004, have the force and effect of law.  Passed:  49-0.

Senate Resolution 301 (Mellow) designates the week of October 3 through 9, 2004 as "Latex Allergy Awareness Week" in Pennsylvania.  Adopted by Voice Vote.

Senate Resolution 302 (Orie) recognizes the 20th anniversary of the Pennsylvania Student Assistance Program during the 2004-2005 school year and designates the month of November 2004 as "Pennsylvania Student Assistance Program Month."  Adopted by Voice Vote.

Senate Resolution 303 (Orie) commemorates the lives of those persons killed by intoxicated drivers and urges observance of October 2, 2004 as "DUI Victims Memorial Day."  Adopted by Voice Vote.

Senate Resolution 304 (Mowery) commends the American Payroll Association for its campaign to recognize wage earners and payroll professionals and recognizes the week of September 6 through 10, 2004 as "National Payroll Week 2004."  Adopted by Voice Vote.

Senate Bill 1112 (M. White) would create the Board of Directors of the Rouse Estate Act.  The measure would establish the Board of Directors of the Rouse Estate consisting of the Warren County Commissioners and two members of the community of Warren County.  The board would be considered a continuation of the Commissioners of the Rouse Estate originally established under Act 410 of 1862.  The board would adopt bylaws for its governance consistent with the act.  Passed:  49-0.

Senate Resolution 305 (Conti) recognizes October 21, 2004 as "Biomedical Research Day" in Pennsylvania.  Adopted by Voice Vote.

Senate Resolution 306 (Piccola) recognizes the week of October 3 through 9, 2004 as "National Newspaper Week."  Adopted by Voice Vote.

House Bill 237 (Stetler) would amend the Mechanics Lien Law to add a section to authorize prothonotaries to electronically index written contracts between owners and contractors. 

Passed:  48-0.
