Senate Resolution 299 (Rafferty) recognizes the month of September 2004 as "National Preparedness Month" in Pennsylvania.  Adopted by Voice Vote.

Nominations to Various Boards and Commissions.  (See Attached)  Confirmed:  50-0.

Senate Bill 346 (Lemmond) would amend the Pennsylvania Election Code to eliminate the $5 filing fee for the filing of nomination petitions for elected offices in boroughs, towns, and first class townships.  (Currently, there is no filing fee for filing nominating petitions in second class townships.)  Passed:  49-0.
