Wonderling, White to Chair Joint Hearing on
Statewide Radio System
and Emergency Preparedness
HARRISBURG -- Senator
Rob Wonderling (R-24) and Senator Don White (R-41) will hold a Joint
Informational Hearing to discuss the Statewide Public Safety Radio System and
the Commonwealth's Emergency Preparedness. The Hearing will begin at 10 a.m. on
October 25, 2005 in Hearing Room #1 in the North Office Building.
Presenting testimony before
the Senate Communications and Technology Committee and the Veterans Affairs &
Emergency Preparedness Committee members will be Jim Joseph, Director of the
Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency; Lt. Commander Oleyniczak of the
Pennsylvania State Police; Robert Torres, Deputy Secretary for Administration in
the Department of Health, Art Stephens, Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor
Rendell; and Tom Reidy, Director of the Office of Public Safety, Radio Services.
Also giving expert testimony
on the coordination of emergency services and available technology will be Paul
Beatty, Director of the Indiana County Emergency Management Agency, William
Jenaway, Chief, King of Prussia Fire Company and Bob Schena, CEO of the Rajant
Corporation.
