Waugh &
Wenger to Unveil Major Agricultural Initiative
HARRISBURG -- Senator
Mike Waugh (R-York) and Senator Noah Wenger (R-Lancaster) will hold a news
conference to unveil a comprehensive legislative package aimed at promoting
agriculture in Pennsylvania.
The news conference will be held
at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 1 at Weaverland Valley Farms, 641 Spruce Road, New
Holland.
The senators, who serve as
chairman and vice chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs
Committee, said their “Preserving the Pennsylvania Farmer” initiative includes a
number of measures designed to preserve farmland, prevent sprawl, help farmers
be more competitive and ensure that agriculture remains Pennsylvania’s top
industry.
